Offshore Grid Hollandse Kust (west) – Documentation
The future grid connections for the Hollandse Kust (west) Wind Farm Zone will consist of two 700 MegaWatt (MW) grid connections. Hollandse Kust (west) Alpha will be ready to provide for the connection for Wind Farm Zone VI in 2024. Hollandse Kust (west) Beta will be ready to provide for the connection for Wind Farm Zone VII in 2026. Each grid connection system consists of a platform and cables to be connected to the onshore grid at the high-voltage substation in Beverwijk.
The Dutch Government will issue permits for the development of the Hollandse Kust (west) Wind Farm Zone Sites VI (700 MW) and VII (700 MW). Offshore wind farm developers can apply for this permit via a tender procedure. The following documentation regarding the offshore grid connection serves as background information for offshore wind farm developers to prepare their bid.
